About the Team

You will be part of the IT Market & Purchasing Applications team responsible for supporting and enhancing SAP Ariba solutions across the organization. The team works closely with procurement, finance, and integration teams to ensure stable and efficient procurement processes. The focus is on maintaining and improving upstream Ariba modules, enabling seamless supplier onboarding, sourcing execution, and contract management in a global environment.

What you can look forward to as SAP Ariba Upstream Senior Consultant

  • Own and operate SAP Ariba Upstream modules, including Sourcing, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, and Contracts, as a senior hands on application specialist.
  • Define, maintain, and improve global templates for sourcing events, supplier onboarding, qualification, questionnaires, approval flows, and contract workspaces.
  • Act as senior IT contact for complex Upstream issues, ensuring root cause analysis, permanent fixes, and stable day to day operations.
  • Drive quarterly SAP Ariba release impact analysis, regression testing, release readiness, and post release validation for in scope Upstream processes.
  • Coordinate integration topics across SAP Ariba, SAP ERP, SAP MDG, SAP Cloud Integration, and middleware teams, with focus on supplier data consistency and process stability.
  • Support global procurement governance by ensuring standardized configuration, controlled changes, audit readiness, and compliant supplier lifecycle processes.
  • Work with business stakeholders and external partners to translate procurement requirements into scalable SAP Ariba configuration and process improvements.
  • Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and continuous improvement to reduce dependency on external support and strengthen internal Ariba capability.

 

Your Profile as SAP Ariba Upstream Senior Consultant

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 6 to 9 years of hands-on SAP Ariba experience, with strong depth in Sourcing, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, and Contracts.
  • Proven experience in configuring sourcing templates, supplier registration and qualification flows, questionnaires, approval rules, validations, and contract workspaces.
  • Good understanding of supplier master data, SAP ERP, SAP MDG, SAP Cloud Integration or CIG concepts, and integration touchpoints relevant to supplier lifecycle and sourcing processes.
  • Strong experience in AMS, incident resolution, problem management, change requests, SIT, UAT, and quarterly release testing.
  • Ability to work as a senior hands-on individual contributor with ownership mindset, structured problem solving, and strong accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work across global business users, suppliers, IT teams, and external implementation or support partners.
  • Fluent English communication skills: experience in global procurement environments is preferred.

The scope requires end to end ownership of Upstream modules, complex issue resolution, quarterly release accountability, integration coordination, and global process governance. This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibility.
