We are hiring a Plant Quality Engineer which supports the Quality policies with system definitions and procedures.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads root cause problem solving (8D, 5-why, fishbone, etc)
  • Interfaces with the business team and Document Control to manage consistent change control for complete manufacturing documentation packages
  • Data analysis of product quality:
  • ANOVA (Analysis of Variation)
  • DOE (Design of Experiments)
  • Trend Analysis
  • Ability to analyze problems, make recommendations, & prioritize and manage tasks
  • Creates and revises system documentation and leads meetings with affected plant personnel to implement system changes
  • Develops and maintains Quality control plans
  • Communicates/documents discrepancies and follow-up and verifies corrective actions
  • Develops quality control and quality management systems
  • Performs release of product
  • Compiles PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) packages per elements assigned
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • May work on moderate to complex engineering problems address with significant autonomy.
  • May refer complex problems not covered by company standards and/or documentation to supervisor or sr. level engineer for help on a decision
  • Using independent judgment, responsible to create and maintain documents and/or databases.  Such activities vary from clerical, to editorial, to creative, e.g. creation/revision of APQP documentation, MI, PI, SOP, etc.


Abilities:
Requires good computer systems skills, incl. word processing and spreadsheet software.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.


Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certifications preferred

 

Experience:
0 – 4 years of related experience, level will depend on length of experience. 


Physical Requirements:
Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day. Requires steady, active effort and continuous walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work in all areas of the plant.


ZF-Lifetec Mesa Operations screening process includes a substance abuse screening test, ATF lifetime background check, and verification of eligibility for employment.  U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status Required.  Relocation is not available.
