Project Manager II - General
General Summary: Responsibility for technology and equipment transfer from prototype to serial production. Expansion and optimization of production capacity. Creation of an industrial environment. AME project management.
Your Tasks:
- Project planning and procurement of new production processes and production equipment (taking into account existing standards).
- Support ongoing site processes in terms of technical performance and improvements.
- Solve technical production problems in terms of tooling, quality, throughput, capacity planning.
- Consideration of environmental performance in terms of materials, reusability.
- Assure compliance to internal and external standards.
- Technical contact between internal staff and external equipment suppliers. Monitor the design and construction of systems for solving problems in terms of technology, processes, plants and production to ensure compliance with delivery deadlines.
- Leadership of project teams (interdisciplinary team).
- Identification of necessary equipment within the scope and requirements of the capital Investment Application (IA).
- Support training and coaching of technicians, engineers and project managers.
- Responsible for the preparation of complete concepts for production systems, focusing on capacity utilization, creation of process standards and best-in-class technologies and processes.
- Support engineering and product design in their tasks related to DFA / DFM.
- Monitor projects for development and implementation of integrated manufacturing systems.
- Monitor and enforce project budgets and timelines.
- Development of plant specifications, evaluation of quotes, and definition of requirements for the procurement of necessary equipment and tools for the implementation of new products, processes and / or efficiency improvements.
- Create manufacturing systems and machine concepts. Cooperation with the AME team and production team to assess these concepts with regard to compliance with the requirements and implementation.
- Provide technical support for production processes and technologies, product validation and capacity planning for facilities.
- Provide technical support and coordination of activities for the installation, troubleshooting and configuration of equipment and tools in an integrated manufacturing system.
- Support the business development and design, taking into account direct labor cost, efficient material flow and transportation, product quality and safety.
- Support to the creation of FMEAs for product design (D-FMEA), processes (P-FMEA) and machine (M-FMEA).
- Willingness to travel at home and abroad.
- Actively improve and develop new standards in production processes and plant equipment.
- Implement cost reduction measures
Your Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field (Master’s preferred)
Project Management Certification (preferred) -
Requires 6+ years (advanced) in project management or related field.

Prefer experience in: Project Management, Basic business knowledge, Automotive industry requirements, CAD (2D and 3D).
- MS Office skills including MS Project;
- Proven project leadership abilities;
- Intermediate-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Engineering and Project Management; Intermediate-level analysis and problem solving;
- Developed experience with engineering change systems, project planning and process optimization; Intermediate-level knowledge of company products and services acquired through experience and training;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills; Self-motivated and independent
Physical Requirements:
Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day. Requires steady, active effort and continuous walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to work in all areas of the plant.
