ZF Passive Safety Systems US LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Technical Spec-PrdctnSys (MES) based out of its location in Mesa, AZ.

Job Duties: Identifies, coordinates, and implements lean processes and programs to support business goals and objectives within a plant; Understand, teach, and promote the use of improvement techniques such as: Lean, Six Sigma, PAI (Power Analysis Improvement), and Red X; Works independently with general strategic guidance; Promote and communicate lean activities throughout a plant; Develop the plant cost reduction plan with all plant functions; Drive improvements in measures of performance through teams and plant staff efforts; Assist with the success of the plant operations in its journey towards industry 4.0, automatization and Digitization; Provides training, mentoring, and guidance to more junior staff members; Develops and may lead medium to large projects including defining scope, objectives, and methods; Thorough understanding and the ability to train others and implement the principles of lean Manufacturing; Use manufacturing and financial measures to perform cost analysis; Represents organization through individual contact and formal presentations; and Knowledge of computer programs including Minitab, especially MS Excel including pivot tables and MS PowerPoint, Power BI. Up to 5% travel to international locations to lead Lean workshops, and benchmark best practices.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience with lean manufacturing environment in the automotive industry, and demonstrated experience with: Demonstrated experience with: Six Sigma program implementation and coordination to improve manufacturing plant operations; Six Sigma methodology in process quality of operations; Quality Core Tools, including FMEA, PPAP, and SPC; DMAIC methodology; Lean methodologies & Kaizen activities, including 5S, TPM, Line Balancing, Standardized Work, and SMED; Shainin and RedX techniques; A3 PDCA; Change optimization; Minitab; Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE); Quality Audit Process and Product Audit; SolidWorks Design Software. Position requires Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
