We are expanding our Electronics Testing team at the Portugal Engineering Center in
Ponte de Lima (PEC). Join our international network and help validate the next generation of automotive safety electronics.

 

System Test Engineer - Embedded Systems

 

Your tasks

  • Plan and perform system-level verification and validation activities based on system requirements.
  • Develop test concepts, test specifications, test plans and automated test sequences.
  • Design, configure and maintain automated test setups and test benches using Vector CANoe and vTESTstudio.
  • Perform functional, electrical and environmental testing, including EMC-related validation activities.
  • Analyze test results and deviations, support root-cause analysis and prepare test reports and validation evidence.
  • Ensure requirements-to-test traceability and continuously improve test methods, automation and validation efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with electronics testing and engineering teams in Ponte de Lima, Vigo, Alfdorf and Częstochowa, sharing technical expertise, test methods and best practices.

  

Your profile

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Communications Engineering or a comparable technical field.
  • Good understanding of electronic systems, ECUs and embedded systems, including automotive communication technologies such as CAN and LIN.
  • Practical experience in electronics development, verification & validation or system testing, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with Vector CANoe, CANape or vTESTstudio, as well as HiL testing, automated testing or test-bench development, is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of requirements-based testing and requirements-to-test traceability; experience with PTC Integrity, Codebeamer or comparable ALM systems is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, a hands-on mindset, good communication skills and a good command of English.
