Your Task:

  • Analyse product specifications and requirements to derive restraint system component solutions in collaboration with application design and core engineering teams.
  • Design and develop restraint system components at both sub-system and system levels, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements specific to the Japanese market.
  • Plan, execute, and manage related projects, including budget management, technical realization, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers for system integration and optimization.
  • Prepare, request, and analyse simulations and tests, including but not limited to crash tests, sled tests, and out-of-position tests.
  • Provide system engineering expertise to support product development and cross-functional collaborations, including concept release and recommendation.

 

Your Profile:

  • Excellent knowledge of engineering mechanics, good basics in experimental methods, knowledge in numerical simulation is a plus.
  • Strong competency in teamwork, communication, and assertiveness.
  • Full professional proficiency in Japanese and fluency in both written and spoken English.

 

Educational and Experience:

  • BEng or MSc or equivalent or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics or comparable subjects
  • Professional experience in the field of passive safety is a plus.
